Myths, Fables and Fairy Tales

The 2009 parade theme, Myths, Fables and Fairy Tales, will showcase the power of great and timeless writing. From Aesop's fables, discover the origins of fairy tales, to the complete works of Ovid or Homer or folk and fairy tales from around the world. The world is full of mystery and magic, and people have tried to explain the unexplainable since time began through stories --- legends, mythologies, fables, folklore and fairy tales. Here, our 2009 parade can explore those realms, whether delving deep into mystery or just spinning a good yarn. From Puss 'N Boots to Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Robin Hood, King Arthur, ghost stories, classical Greek and Roman, Narnia, One Thousand and One Nights (Arabian Nights), The Emperor's New Clothes, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Harry Potter and Grimm's Fairy Tales...for "once upon a time" the 2009 Millersville Community Parade entry opportunities are endless.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • All entries with live animals are responsible for immediately curbing and cleaning-up after their animals.
